checked out a 5D mark ii and a 15mm fisheye for fun
The above is really interesting, I've seen photos of mini "worlds" being created using a technique similar to this one. Perhaps you could look it up and try it sometime, it might interest you.
I know the technique you're referring to. It requires a panorama, which is then wrapped around an invisible "sphere," which I presume is the mini world you speak of.
